We have taken lots of precautions to ensure safety at Naul National School.
We have staggered start and finishing times and have staggered breaks.
The yard has been clearly outlined to ensure pods stay apart.
Groups are a metre apart in class and in senior classes the children have their own books in their individual baskets to limit contamination.
A Covid response room has been set up and the carpet removed to ensure easy cleaning.
If a child has any symptoms of Covid 19, they will wait in the response room until they are collected. The room is then disinfected throughout.
Children awaiting test results may not return to school until they have a negative result. Family members must also self isolate until a negative result is confirmed.
It is likely that we will have many members of the school community put forward for Covid testing. The majority of these people will have a negative result.
If a member of the school community tests positive we will follow HSE guidelines and notify any close contacts.
