This week, 3rd and 4th Class were exploring sound.
We learned some cool facts like sound is a form of energy, the measure of sound is name after Graham Alexander Bell and the artist, 
Leonardo DaVinci discovered that sound travels in waves!
As part of one of our science lessons, we created our very own panpipes using compostable straws, scissors and tape!
We began by writing down our predictions and thoughts on the experiment. The children made some great guesses on the effect the length of the straws would have on the sound! The children loved experimenting with the different lengths of straws and seeing what sounds they could make using their very own panpipes! 🙂
