GLOBE project in Fifth and Sixth Class
We were delighted to find out that we were recently chosen as a pilot school for the first GLOBE project survery. Over the space of a few weeks we had to measure different surface temperatures and record them on a measurement worksheet. We then had to upload all the information we collected. This information is then going to tell us if we are a ‘cool school’. A cool school is a school with lots of trees, shrubs, grass, shade provided by trees etc. A ‘cool’ environment is essential to deal with the challenge of Climate Change. We may have submitted our reading to GLOBE, but the project is not over just yet. Remember to check back and see how we are getting on 🙂
