Active School Week will run from Monday 13th of June to Friday 17th of June 2022
This is going to be a week filled with lots of physical activities and fun.
We are currently brainstorming ideas for activities for the week.
Each class has a suggestion box.
The children are encouraged to share their ideas and suggestions.
We also carried out pupil and parent questionnaires in order to gain a better insight of parental and pupil awareness and opinions on the Active School Flag activities being carried out on our journey towards achieving the Active School Flag.
Naul N.S values the parents and pupils suggestions and we aim to include as many of them as we can in our approach to being an Active School.
We have been participating in ASW for 4 years. It is only in the past year that the Active School Flag section of our website has been developed.
This year we plan to raise awareness for ASW amongst the parents not just the pupils. Our website will have updates after Easter break.
From our recent Parent Questionnaire it came to our attention that some parents were unaware that Active School Week took place.
It normally takes place on the week of Sports day (which falls on the Friday).
Each day has a different sports challenge, game or physical activity timetabled.
There will be whole school Fun Day on the Friday. This involves lots of fun outdoor activities such as obstacle courses, parachutes and a Bouncy Castle obstacle course.
The children will wear their tracksuits to school for the week. They will have active homework each day.
Once all suggestions have been gathered, the Active School committee will help draw up a timetable of activities for the week.
This will be uploaded as soon as it is ready.

We have held two Active School Weeks in previous years whereby a range of physical activities are timetabled for each day throughout the week.
The week ends with the Sports Day on the Friday. This is an exciting, fun and physically active week.
We are currently brainstorming the timetable for ASW. All the children are encouraged to contribute any ideas or suggestions they may have.
Each class has a “Suggestion Bag” so that the children can share their suggestions. So far there have been a few new ideas to make ASW even more enjoyable!
