The children in Áthas have been exploring and leanring about the ocean. We looked at sea creatures, learned about their ocean habitats and listened to the sounds they make. We expanded our vocabulary and learned lots! We also enjoyed ocean themed sensory play annd art. 

Áthas had great fun studying penguins this term. We looked at their diet and habitat. We also looked at the physical features of the adults and the baby penguins. The children enjoyed creating different pieces of art inspired by penguins. 

The children in Áthas had great fun learning about caterpillars and butterflies this week. We read The Very Hungry Caterpillar in English, used playdough to explore the story, observed real caterpillars in science and made printed creations in art.  We had lots of fun!  

The children in Sonas were busy making mixtures this week. They looked at what could be separated and not separated. They also investigated the impact of mixing and heat. These investigations lead to us making fruit smoothies, giant bubbles and honeycomb!          

The children in Sonas really enjoyed Wellbeing Week. We have been doing yoga, art, baking and enjoying our relaxing reading time.
