Sports Day
On the 20th of June we held our annual Sports Day. All the children came out to watch the races and cheer others on. We finished with a water fight, which was great fun. A great day was had by all. Below are some photos of the day.

We had the pleasure recently of welcoming in John Murphy to the school. John brought in some wonderful instrument including the clarinet and saxaphone. He explained how the instruments work and treated the children to some beautiful pieces of music. Many thanks to John for giving up his time to come and visit.

The children in Sonas were busy making mixtures this week. They looked at what could be separated and not separated. They also investigated the impact of mixing and heat. These investigations lead to us making fruit smoothies, giant bubbles and honeycomb!

The children had lots of fun today. The whole school did the HAKA as Gaeilge and each class sang an Irish song for the school. The Irish dancers showed us their moves and everyone had a chance to copy.
